The primary aim of this interiors project was to enhance the architectural qualities of a modern glass, and stone house, designed as a series of gracefully curved volumes perched on a cliff outcropping overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This was achieved by juxtaposing a more refined palette of materials and finishes against the rough nature of the house's interior stone walls.

The two main areas facing the spectacular ocean view include the kitchen, living, dining, and master bedroom areas. All are located in the curved section of the house closest to the ocean, an open area defined by the continuous curve of the ceiling and the large expanse of glass facing a grand view of the sea. To maintain this feeling of openness the architectural elements in these areas are designed as freestanding sculptural elements, detached from both the ceiling and the walls, furniture-like in their detailing and materials. The materials for these elements were chosen both for their inherent beauty as well as for their compatibility with the house's materials (mainly granite veneer, red copper, and glass). These include: pommele sapele veneer (the kitchen); quartered, figured sapele veneer (the master bedroom); and limestone, brushed red copper, frosted glass.
